Hatun Karpay: The Great Initiation of the Right Side

with Juan Nunez del Prado

Ohio leader Sarah Weiss

Hatun Karpay Lloq'e: The "Great Initiation" of the Left Side

with Juan Nunez del Prado

Ohio Leader: Sarah Weiss

This is a sample of the Left Side itinerary. See www.valerieneistrath.com for the itineraries for both trips.

The Hatun Karpay Lloq'e emphasizes the active development of intuition and inner perception to acquire inner clarity, greater self-realization and the mastery and development of personal power. It is the action-oriented side of the great initiation assisting us to create external results as an expression of our inner development. It is related to the lineage of Juan's left-side master, Don Melchor Desa and Tata Lorenzo (keeper of the wisdom of Titcaca Lake basin). This initiation connects with a new set of power places different from the previous Hatun Karpay, solidifing within us techniques to develop our feminine selves; allowing us to open to the Divine Feminine. We will primarily work with water energies, the grounded and flexible vehicle of power; to learn to use our personal power with agility, flexibility and compassion. This cycle of power opens one to the "Willka" power of the Black Light (Black Nusta) related with the fifth level of consciousness prophesied by the Inka visionaries 500 hundred years ago.

The Two Hatun Karpay Initiations The Hatun Karpay is a ten-day series of initiatory experiences forming the "Great Initiation" as passed on to Juan from his right-side mentor, Don Benito Qoriwaman. The Hatun Karpay that most people have experienced with Juan to date has been a cycle of rituals of the right side of the path (Hatun Karpay Pana), emphasizing the masculine qualities of the work; an initiation of seeding the Inka tradition within yourself and flowering that seed. It is about learning to mediate the living energies through your own personal field of power and energy. It also prepares you for the next level of your spiritual path.

Since 1992 Juan has been offering only the Hatun Karpay Pana because it was necessary to first activate the power of the Q'enti (hummingbird), the symbol of the connection between the material world (kaypacha) and the upper world (hanaqpacha). This energetic connection is related to Machu Picchu, the citadel in the clouds. Remember Machu Picchu when seen from above is in the shape of a hummingbird!

Juan feels that after 12 years of continuously performing the rituals and practices of the right side Hatun Karpay, the power of the hummingbird has been sufficiently activated. He can now offer the second Hatun Karpay, the Lloq'e Hatun Karpay which will anchor a new cycle of energy and power into the world, awakening the power of the Puma related with the city of Cuzco and the metaphoric representation of the world we live in (kaypacha). The Inka built Cuzco in the shape of a Puma as a reminder! This initiation pulls the "Puma power" of the kaypacha into the ukhupacha making a connection with the lower world. The lower world is symbolized by the serpent (the Great Anaconda) and is related to the Titicaca Lake region.
