Spiritual Leadership Training
 Prerequisite: Spiritual Mastery Training
We start our lives as teachers, and it is very hard for
us to learn to become pupils. There are many whose
only difficulty in life is that they are teachers already.
What we have to learn is pupilship. There is but one

The Light Journey guide is an advocate who holds a space of safety, awareness and light for one's self or another. Grounded in Mother Earth and Father Spirit, our Source, the guide supports listening to the spirit of guidance within to find inspiration and answers. Tthe Light Journey guide simply and quietly supports wholeness and revelation.
Spiritual Leadership is the art of gathering, guiding and holding space for a group of people dedicated to spiritual growth and serving humanity. Just as the guide in Light Journey Training holds a light, loving and safe space within or with another, the spiritual leader holds this type of space for a group. If you are a group leader, teacher or trainer, or feel called to lead groups, this class will support the development of leadership skills, integrity and wisdom while increasing the success and effectiveness of the group experience.
The ancient mystery schools understood the effects of timing, patience, silence, authenticity and wisdom involved in teaching. How is deeper knowledge intuitively conveyed, revealed and understood? Spiritual leadership involves understanding how to support learning in deeper ways than our culture traditionally accepts. In this age of trying to make a buck from spiritual and new age seminars. It is time to take a look at the approach and responsibility of the group leader. Do they walk the talk and empower students or have private agendas that undermine true learning?
Topics covered include:
- Source, Mother Earth, Father Sky and the intelligence throughout the universe is the teacher, not you.
- Leadership as service.
- The role of intuition, light and heart attunement in gathering and working with a group.
- The importance of spiritual concentration and authenticity.
- Generating group harmony while supporting the unique contributions of each individual.
- Working with light and divine guidance to bring about group harmony.
- Invoking the spirit of guidance for the group through the group light axis.
- Understanding the energetic model of conveying information through field resonance.
- Guarding against projection of personal projections and private agendas.
- Maintaining energetic, psychological and physical boundaries while leading a group.
- Practicing the art of speaking and listening to bring about transformation in the moment.
EXPERIENTIAL TRAINING LAB
The lab for SLT will be the Mid Month practice groups for the LJT group. SLT students will practice leading the Mid Month practice groups with support and guidance from SpiritHeal Insitute staff which includes Deborah Bookin, Kim Miller, Fran Schaul, and Cindy Schickendantz, as well as from Insitute Director Sarah Weiss. Experiential training will also include attending three LJT weekends during the 2008 year.
SERVICE
Leadership as service is the second topic listed above. The Spiritual Leadership model taught in this training understands leadership as service....being in an attitude of service to Source and to those you are training. Learning how to let Source guide, teach and heal is the true art of leadership and is refined by experience and feedback. During the second half of the training you will be asked to plan and provide training in relaxation, grounding and light axis work with a specified group of your choice.
LIGHT CIRCLES
SLT also includes participation in the Light Circles Training. Once you have completed the ordination level of Spiritual Mastery Training you become eligible for ongoing training and practice with a committed and experienced community of light workers. Please see the description under Light Circles for further information on this section of the training.

SLT Trainings: Jan. 26 (Sat.), June 28 (Sat.), Oct. 19 (Sun), 2008
We will meet from 1-5 pm each of these training days at the Newbury location.
LJT Trainings: Choose three of these LJT weekends:
Feb. 23-24, March 15-16, April 12-13, May 3-4, June 7-8, 2008.
(You may only attend three and will need to commit to these when you sign up so that appropriate staff is available.)
Mandatory Mid Month Practice Sesssions: Jan. 29, March 5, March 25, 2008. The practice session runs from 7-8:30 with time for tea until 9 pm. You will be asked to arrive by 6:30 to attune with the leader and help in any way needed at the moment, and stay until 9:30 so there will be time to answer any questions that come up during the session that pertain to spiritual leadership. These sessions are led by SpiritHeal Institute staff and will be held in staff and student's homes.
Choose four from this group where you will be asked to co-lead at least two of the sessions: April 24, May 21, June 24, August 6, Sept. 2, and Sept. 25.
